MIG & TIG Welding

Skilled welder performing TIG welding on a stainless steel fabrication

Robotic and Manual Welding for Every Application

Agglomets operates both robotic MIG welding cells and manual MIG and TIG welding stations, giving us the flexibility to match the right process to every job. Robotic cells deliver the speed and repeatability needed for high-volume production — identical weld paths, consistent penetration and minimal spatter across thousands of parts. Manual welding by our certified tradespeople handles the complex, one-off and low-volume work where human skill and judgement are essential.

Our MIG welding capability covers mild steel, galvanised steel and aluminium across a wide range of material thicknesses. For applications demanding superior finish quality and heat control — thin-wall stainless, aluminium sheet and visible architectural joints — our TIG welders produce clean, precise beads with minimal distortion. All welding is performed to AS/NZS 1554 standards, and our welders hold current qualifications for the materials and joint types they work on.

From heavy structural frames and machine bases to fine decorative railings and furniture components, we have the equipment, expertise and capacity to deliver welded assemblies that meet both structural and aesthetic requirements. Jig design and manufacture is handled in-house, ensuring parts are held accurately during welding and assemblies remain dimensionally true after cooling.

Capabilities

  • Robotic MIG welding cells for high-volume production
  • Manual MIG and TIG welding by certified tradespeople
  • Materials: mild steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium
  • Welding to AS/NZS 1554 standards
  • In-house jig design and manufacture for dimensional accuracy
  • Post-weld grinding, linishing and finishing as required
  • Capacity for assemblies from small brackets to large structural frames

Applications

  • Structural steelwork and machine frames
  • Architectural balustrades, handrails and screening
  • Furniture frames and commercial fitout components
  • Agricultural machinery and equipment assemblies
  • Food-grade stainless fabrications for processing plants
  • Automotive sub-assemblies and exhaust components

Why Choose Agglomets for Welding

  • Robotic precision, manual craftsmanship — We deploy the right welding method for the job, whether that means the speed of robotics or the adaptability of a skilled tradesperson.
  • Certified to Australian standards — All welding conforms to AS/NZS 1554 and our welders maintain current qualifications for every material and joint type they perform.
  • In-house jig design — Custom welding jigs ensure components are held accurately, eliminating distortion and guaranteeing repeatable dimensional results.
  • Complete post-weld finishing — Grinding, linishing, pickling and passivation are available on-site, so assemblies leave our facility ready for coating or end use.
